Abstract

El estudio analizó la integración estratégica del Internet de las Cosas y la automatización de sistemas académicos sostenibles en instituciones de educación superior, con el propósito de optimizar los procesos de gestión educativa y fortalecer la toma de decisiones basada en datos. La investigación adoptó un enfoque descriptivo con apoyo en métodos analíticos y revisión documental, lo que permitió identificar prácticas tecnológicas orientadas a la eficiencia energética, la mejora de los servicios académicos y la sostenibilidad institucional. Los resultados evidenciaron que la incorporación de tecnologías inteligentes favoreció la modernización de los entornos educativos, incrementó la interoperabilidad de los sistemas de información y contribuyó a una gestión más eficiente de los recursos físicos y digitales. Asimismo, se constató que la automatización académica facilitó la supervisión de procesos administrativos y académicos, promoviendo una cultura de innovación educativa. Se concluyó que la integración del Internet de las Cosas y la automatización de sistemas académicos representó una estrategia viable para el desarrollo sostenible de la educación superior, al fortalecer la calidad educativa, la eficiencia operativa y la adaptación a los desafíos tecnológicos contemporáneos.
