Ausentismo laboral, productividad y repercusiones en la información contable financiera: evidencia en organizaciones contemporáneas de Panamá

El ausentismo laboral constituye un fenómeno organizacional con implicaciones directas sobre la productividad, los costos operativos y la calidad de la información contable financiera. El problema central radica en que muchas empresas registran los costos asociados al ausentismo como gastos ordinarios del período, sin analizar suficientemente su efecto sobre la eficiencia productiva, el margen operativo, la rentabilidad y la razonabilidad de los estados financieros. El objetivo del artículo es analizar la relación entre el ausentismo laboral, la productividad y sus repercusiones en la información contable financiera de organizaciones contemporáneas de Panamá. Metodológicamente, se propone un enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance correlacional-explicativo, con diseño no experimental y transversal, aplicado a empresas panameñas de los sectores comercio, servicios, logística, manufactura y finanzas. Los resultados esperados sugieren que mayores niveles de ausentismo laboral se asocian con disminuciones en la productividad, incrementos en costos laborales indirectos y deterioro de indicadores financieros como margen operativo, rentabilidad y eficiencia de costos. El aporte principal consiste en integrar la gestión del ausentismo con el análisis contable financiero, proponiendo un modelo que permite interpretar las ausencias laborales no solo como eventos administrativos, sino como factores con impacto económico medible en los estados financieros.
