Bienestar docente y desempeño laboral en instituciones educativas de la zona 5 en Ecuador

Resumen

El estudio analizó la relación entre el bienestar docente y el desempeño laboral en cinco instituciones educativas de la Zona 5 del Ecuador. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo correlacional, diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 217 docentes y, mediante muestreo probabilístico aleatorio con un nivel de confianza del 95 %, se seleccionó una muestra de 139 participantes. La información se recopiló mediante una encuesta de 10 ítems, distribuida en cinco indicadores para bienestar docente y cinco para desempeño laboral, con escala Likert de cinco opciones. El instrumento fue validado mediante una prueba piloto aplicada a 50 docentes con características similares y alcanzó un alfa de Cronbach de 0,928, lo que evidenció alta confiabilidad. Los resultados mostraron una tendencia moderadamente favorable en ambas variables, con fortalezas en las relaciones laborales, la satisfacción profesional, la planificación pedagógica, el cumplimiento de responsabilidades y la participación institucional. También se identificaron oportunidades de mejora en el apoyo directivo, el cuidado físico y emocional, la adaptación de estrategias y la evaluación del aprendizaje. Se concluyó que el fortalecimiento del bienestar docente puede contribuir al desempeño laboral y a una gestión educativa más humana y sostenible.
