Abstract

El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre los hábitos de estudio y el rendimiento académico en estudiantes de una universidad de Guayaquil, Ecuador. Se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo, diseño no experimental y corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por 150 estudiantes y la muestra por 125 participantes seleccionados mediante criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se aplicó una encuesta digital de 12 ítems con escala Likert, seis orientados a los hábitos de estudio y seis al rendimiento académico. El instrumento fue validado por expertos y sometido a una prueba piloto con 25 sujetos, obteniéndose un alfa de Cronbach de 0,91. Los resultados mostraron una tendencia moderadamente favorable en ambas variables. Destacaron el uso de técnicas de estudio, la comprensión de contenidos y la entrega puntual de tareas; sin embargo, se identificaron debilidades en el repaso frecuente, la formulación de objetivos y la participación académica. Se concluyó que la organización, la autorregulación y la constancia estuvieron vinculadas con percepciones más favorables del desempeño. Se recomendó fortalecer programas de tutoría, planificación del tiempo y estrategias de aprendizaje activo para favorecer la continuidad y el éxito universitario sostenible.
